  • 03/28/06 WWE Smackdown (Dark Match) in Kansas City, Missouri
Scotty Too Hotty defeats O'Haire with a small package after O'Haire denies the Worm.
  • 03/27/06 WWE Raw (Dark Match) in Omaha, Nebraska
    Trevor Murdoch defeats O'Haire.

This was a dark match before Heat was taped. I had gotten wind that O'Haire would be working a tryout match before the show from Mad Monk, so I wasn't that surprised to see him although I'm sure a lot of people were. They already had an entrance video ready for him so either they recycled the old one or he's already signed and coming back for sure. He looks a little less ripped than last time although with the wellness program that may be for the best; he's still in fine shape overall (especially noticable wrestling the Texas redneck Murdoch). Murdoch wins with the ropes for leverage and got huge boos, O'Haire got a good babyface pop and seems ready for that role if brought in.

  • 05/03/04 NEXESS Tokyo Dome
Former WWE and WCW star, Sean O'Haire, made his New Japan debut as an assassin sent by K-1 to take out Hiroshi Tanahashi. O'Haire dominated the match early on, controlling the pace. Tanahashi caught a kick and hit a dragon screw to begin his comeback, then hit low-altitude dropkicks to the knee. Later, he used a half-hatch suplex and German suplex, but O'Haire didn't stay down easily, retaliating with a Blockbuster. He went for the Seanton bomb (senton atomico), but Tanahashi rolled aside and avoided it. The two traded quick offense and defense, before Tanahashi slapped on his Dragon sleeper in a flash, forcing the American to tap out! Tanahashi was impressed by O'Haire, even though he was expecting a bigger name opponent like Brock Lesnar or The Predator. The victory ensured his rise continued, but his only regret was that the match was not for the U-30 Openweight Title, and suggested a rematch with O'Haire some day with the belt on the line. O'Haire called Tanahashi lucky, showing no sportsmanship, and said from now on, he would fight anywhere to prove his strength.
