~~UPDATE 7/9/02 I spoke to the OVW Webmistress, and while she said there was no need to take down what I already have up, their policy is that they don't allow wholesale cutting and pasting of results. I can live with that. I highly recommend visiting the |OVWrestling| website and purchasing one of their tapes for yourself. So far, my favorite has been March 2002. The people at OVW are really passionate about Sports Entertainment.
4/20/02 From Lords of Pain Leviathan w/ Synn vs. Sean O’Haire The two got off to their “Battle of the Giants” of OVW match with a deep staredown to start things off. Leviathan took the early upperhand on O’Haire, displaying some impressive footwork after a kick to the stomach and a nice spin-kick to the head of O’Haire. After spinebuster from Leviathan, followed by a two count O’Haire managed to regain some of the offense and took the upperhand for a bit. O’Haire delivered a shoulder to Leviathan while he was in the corner followed by an impressive back handspring. The match ended after the “Demon” regained the offense and held up Sean for Synn to spray mace in the face of him, but O’Haire ducked out of the way and the mace was sprayed right in the face of Leviathan. Unfortunately for O’Haire, this did not cost Leviathan the win as he kicked up at two. After a few seconds the “Demon” pulled off the spear from nowhere and picked up the three count on O’Haire. After the match, Leviathan got in Synn’s face asking why she sprayed him, but Synn was left at a loss for words. Winner via pinfall Leviathan ~Well, nuts. After Sean got this big push with the Spring Breakout, he's back to jobbing to Leviathan again. I will admit though, it sounds like it was a decent match. O’Haire delivered a shoulder to Leviathan while he was in the corner followed by an impressive back handspring. *blink* A back handspring? That would be worth seeing! I swear, I wouldn't want to be Synn when this was all over. She's a tough cookie, but Leviathan is SCARY man! Anyway, I wonder what happened to all that business between Prototype and O'Haire from the previous week's show? There was no mention of Prototype at all. Hmmm… 4/13/02 From Lords of Pain Nick Dinsmore vs. Sean O’Haire A somewhat decent match, one of O’Haire’s better matches in OVW. The match opened off with the two tying up and Dinsmore being thrown half way across the ring down to the canvas by the huge O’Haire. Eventually after trading various crowd chants and reaction the two went at it with the test of strength. The big man, O’Haire pulled off the easy upper hand with this move, but Dinsmore cleverly reversed it, using his technical skills. There was a funny dark match moment where Dinsmore was punching O’Haire in the ropes and then delivered a side hand chop to the forehead of O’Haire. The match ended as Dinsmore pulled off the schoolboy rollup out of the corner and picked up the three count.
Winner via pinfall Nick Dinsmore ~So much to love about this one! one of O’Haire’s better matches in OVW!!! Then of course, all the references to Sean's size! *___* But wait…there's more! Next Jim Cornette was joined in the ring with Kenny “the King” Bolin and “The Perfect Man” Prototype. Prototype immediately got on the mic, basically avoiding the question stating that he was extremely disgusted with Ohio Valley Wrestling, and the fact the he could be jumped by Leviathan without anything being done about it. He mentioned that the reason Sean O’Haire was hired was to protect him from attacks as such. (there was some harassing at that point, then Leviathan came to the ring and set Prototype up for a powerbomb) O’Haire then ran in attacking the “Demon”. O’Haire then brings Leviathan to his feet and set him up to be hit by Prototype, Leviathan moves out of the way though and Prototype hit O’Haire. ~Wow! Can't wait to see what happens next week then! Who will be kicked out of Bolin Services next? I still think Prototype … because I think they're near to calling him up to the WWF. We'll see though! And on a final note: I usually don’t report the amateur matches, but seeing that this was the first match for Sean O’Haire’s younger brother Shan O’Haire I figured I would. As for Shan, well he still needs some ring work, but does show some potential in the ring. ~He lost unfortunately. 4/06/02 ~There was only interference run by O'Haire during this weeks TV show...not really worth mentioning... 4/05/02 Spring Breakout Ric & David Flair vs. Prototype & Sean O'Haire w/ Kenny Bolin From OVWrestling.com Having already stirred up the heat from the fans earlier in pre-show shenanigans (which otherwise might have been welcome on this chilly spring evening!), Bolin Services were booed plenty when they made their way to the ring. But things got real HOT when the headliners "Nature Boy" Ric Flair and his son David appeared amidst a roar of cheers and "WHOOOS!" of both respect and excitement! Ric looked resplendent in beautiful red, sequined robe - one of his several grand entrance robes! David and Prototype started with some hiptoss exchanges, then RIC tagged in to the crowd's ecstatic cheers! After some arm wringing on Prototype, David tagged back in to go to work on his main BS nemesis! When the huge O'Haire tagged in, he regained the advantage fairly quick. But when David tags in his famous dad, the crowds again screams "WHOOO!" as the Flairs deliver TANDEM chest chops on both BS boys (as Prototype can't keep his nose out of fight)! Then the legal men Ric and O'Haire continued the battle after a test of strength lockup. O'Haire has reason to be confident with his size and strength, but he's in with perhaps the most experienced active wrestler today who's seen it all after nearly 30 years, and who should never be taken lightly! After maintaining the offensive advantage, Ric tags David back in, but he's promptly double-teamed as the BS'ers begin their standard operating procedure of dirty tricks! O'Haire goes back to his size & strength advantage, this time against the far less experienced Flair, with better success. He eventually delivers his powerful backbreaker off his shoulder and into a pin attempt - but only gets a 2 count! What David doesn't have in Ric's experience, he has Ric's resiliency and heart! Prototype is then tagged in, and he also works David over - but this time it's skill that halts the BS offensive as David counters Prototype with a HUGE DDT that lands the OVW Champion right on his oversized ego head! The crowd has been ALL OVER BS, and it gets to them - at one point, O'Haire even bullies away a ringside cameraman; another time Prototype exchanges insults with a group of gradeschool-aged kids! After the DDT, an angry O'Haire then tags back in and goes to take the wind from David's sails with a big bearhug! But the Flair blood won't be held down as the crowd rallies ever louder behind him! Finally David makes the tag to the eager "Nature Boy" who opens up with his famous chest chops for both O'Haire AND Prototype, then gives them each a big back bodydrop for good measure! Bolin, by now seeing victory slip away, climbs up on the ring apron, but the veteran Flair will have none of it, and BLASTS him off the ring to a great cheer! O'Haire tries to attack Ric from behind, but then its David to his father's rescue. At last, Prototype gets the double dubious distinction of getting low-blowed by the "dirtiest player in the game", who then slaps the figure 4 leglock on the OVW Champion! Then, in a treat for the eyes as well as the soul, David slaps a figure 4 leglock onto O'Haire as well, and the FLAIRS WIN by submission! Whoooo!!!!! After the match, Ric took the mic and addressed the crowd, giving his compliments to OVW and saying it was great for him to have returned to Louisville. Then, in an act of utmost class, he expressed his respect for the talent of Prototype and O'Haire - and closed with a final shout out to his long-time colleague, OVW Matchmaker Jim Cornette, beaming at the legendary icon from the back of the Stunt Show stage! ~WOW…not much else I can say except…WOW! This sounded like an amazing match…I really wish I could have seen it! I'm so pleased that Ric had nice things to say about Sean...that KICKS ASS! From Lords of Pain The match everyone had been waiting to see. Ric Flair teaming up with his son David Flair against the hated Bolin Services, Prototype and Sean O'Haire accompanied by Kenny "the King" Bolin. The crowd was extremely hot for the return of Ric Flair to Louisville and vocal for the father/son team throughout the entire match. The match opened off with David Flair and Prototype. David reversed an early hiptoss attempt and delivered a big hiptoss of his own, getting a good opening reaction from the Kentucky Kingdom crowd. Ric Flair was then tagged in who momentarily worked on the arm of Prototype, receiving an ecstatic reaction from the crowd, Ric then tagged his son back in to maintain the offense on Prototype. Eventually Sean O'Haire comes in and gains the offensive attack on David. After a few minutes David eventually goes for the aide of his father who is tagged in and the two delivered a double chop to both O'Haire and Prototype. O'Haire eventually was in the ring with Ric Flair as the two went for the test of strength after Flair took down O'Haire. Eventually as Ric gained the offense again David was tagged in, but the team of Bolin Services cheated and started to double team David Flair. O'Haire spent a lot of time, literally, pummelling David; eventually O'Haire pulled off his backbreaker using his shoulder to David Flair who only stayed down for a two count. Prototype then came into the ring to see if he could pin David, but to no avail as David Flair eventually reversed out of one of Prototype's moves and brought him down on his head with a huge DDT. Unfortunately for David, this offense didn't last too long as O'Haire made his way into the ring applying a huge bear hug to David. The crowd attempted to revive Flair with each and every foot stomping on either the ground or bleachers. Eventually Ric Flair gains the hot tag and delivers a chop to O'Haire and Prototype as well as a back body drop to the two. Kenny Bolin then attempted to get on the ringside to help his men, but Ric Flair saw this coming and layed out Bolin sending him down to the ground. O'Haire was about to get the cheap attack on Ric Flair, but David Flair saved his father's back and attacked O'Haire. Eventually, after a low blow missed by the referee to Prototype, Ric Flair applied the Figure Four Leg lock. David applied the Figure Four to O'Haire as well as the two tapped out, awarding the Flairs the victory. After the match Ric Flair got on the microphone and praised OVW. He also talked about how great it was to be back in Louisville, he went on to say that he did respect O'Haire and Prototype and concluded with a final shout out to Jim Cornette. Concluding a solid night of Ohio Valley Wrestling. Winners via submission Ric and David Flair ~ He also talked about how great it was to be back in Louisville, he went on to say that he did respect O'Haire and Prototype and concluded with a final shout out to Jim Cornette. How cool is that? Of course, sounds like it was rife with typical Bolin Services cheating…but I'm so thrilled that Sean was given this outstanding mainevent…and the exposure! Sounds like it was a great match!
3/30/02 From OVWrestling.com Jerome Crony/Mr. Black vs. Sean O'Haire/Prototype REF: Ray Ramsey The tension that has been building among the members and former members of Bolin Services finally came to a head tonight as Crony and Black would take on O'Haire and Prototype in tag team competition. Early on in the bout, Crony and Black show considerable harmony as they seem to work very well together. At one point, Black puts O'Haire to the canvas with a devastating clothesline and then hoists Crony on his shoulders from which he does a big splash. Crony's cover only gets a count of two before O'Haire kicks out and sends Crony across the ring. But O'Haire and Prototype soon work together to focus on isolating Crony from his partner for some time with hard body shots. But O'Haire makes a pivotal mistake in the match when he goes for Whipflash from the second turnbuckle giving Crony the opportunity to get away and tag in Black who swings at anything that moves! But O'Haire is able to put Black down with a superkick and distract Crony while Prototype does a big splash from the top turnbuckle on Black for the 1-2-3 victory. Winners: Prototype and Sean O'Haire ~ This doesn't sound exactly like the results from LOP, but I'm sure it was the same match. And…I hate when the point out errors that Sean makes…GRRR… From Lords of Pain Mr. Black & Jerome Crony vs. Prototype & Sean O'Haire This match booked as a Grudge match as the team of Black and Crony are former Bolin Services members basically being pushed out by Prototype and O'Haire after O'Haire won a match against Black for the Official Head of Security of Bolin Services job. The match got off to a funny start as Crony continually avoided Prototype eventually pulling off a blind tag to Mr. Black as Black got in delivering a huge clothesline to an unbeknownst Prototype. Eventually Crony was tagged back in as well as O'Haire and O'Haire took the immediate upperhand against Crony. He went for a second rope "Seanton" Bomb, but missed as Crony rolled out of the way. Kenny "the King" Bolin made his way to the commentator's booth early on to give his two bits of input in as well. Eventually, Black received a hard kick to the face and was hit by a big top rope splash by Prototype as the current team of Bolin Services gained the pinfall. Winners via pinfall Prototype & Sean O'Haire ~At last! They got the name of the move right! But dagnabit…I don't think he's been allowed to connect on one of those since he's been there. I swear to God, when I watch him do that move in the impossibly small ring at Davis Arena…it gives me heart failure! O'Haire and Prototype won…well, after watching the tape and actually seeing what Crony and Mr. Black are like, this is not a surprise! 3/23/02 Bolin Services interferes in a match pitting David Flair vs. the Prototype. O'Haire did not have any matches this week…yet this is coverage of his interference. From OVWrestling.com Of course, here comes Bolin waddling in to interfere and break the hold - but Flair, with all the fire in his heart, faces him head-on and decks him! He grabs Bolin's briefcase but suddenly Sean O'Haire hits the ring, attacking him - and the match ends in a DQ victory for Flair, but no Title change! --- Then another GREAT, SHOCKING moment occurs as from out of nowhere, LEVIATHAN leaps into the ring!!! He flies across and spears O'Haire practically out of his boots! ~Leviathan spearing Sean out of his boots…WHEE! Dang…I love to hate Bolin Services! From Lords of Pain Flair still holding the case in the ring was contemplating hitting Prototype but did not, only because Sean O'Haire stormed the ring and layed David out.
~This was the only mention of O'Haire this week. 3/16/02 From OVWrestling.com David Flair vs. Sean O'Haire w/ Kenny "The King" Bolin Ref: Robert Brisko O'Haire is out fighting with the first advantage of hard body blows; just awesome. But Flair comes back with two dropkicks and quickly goes for the figure 4 leglock! O'Haire, however, is just too strong and puts him down with a shoulder breaker; Flair kicks out at two! O'Haire is a martial arts expert, and he's not afraid to use his full arsenal of his hands, fists, and feet! He whips Flair into a corner after which Flair chest chops him (whoo!) - but O'Haire just stares it off and BEATS Flair into another corner - apparently it just only made him more angry! O'Haire flies off top rope but misses; Flair's slow to get up and Bolin is sweating bullets! Bolin Services charges the ring and a big donnybrook ensues - that's BS for you - cheat, confuse, corrupt, and disrupt! Suddenly however, FORMER BS'ers Mr. Black and Jerome Crony run out - Black attacks Bolin while Crony steals his briefcase! He hits O'Haire with it but to no effect and Crony goes flying outside! Meanwhile, O'Haire has forgotten about his opponent until Flair rolls him up - exposing his black thong and all - for the pinfall win!!! Flair - 2, Bolin Services - 0! Flair's beaten Kenny Bolin's two hand-picked favorites! But BS are not gracious losers, and they attack! Prototype, still smarting from his OWN big, first single's loss to Flair last month, puts him in a figure four leglock! Three more referees come out, but Bolin's using his briefcase as a weapon to keep them out of the ring - he's almost like a drooling, rabid dog! Finally and thankfully, it's the Lords of the Ring Conway & Dinsmore to the rescue, standing tall and re-claiming the ring once more! The fans love it - a few are even chanting "Crony!" BS stands outside the ring as the two factions stare down, and finally pride overcomes sense and they get back in, only to get their asses whupped! Conway and Dinsmore at one point just LEVEL O'Haire with a big, joint punch and Prototype ends up getting hammered down in the corner as the show ends! ~See…I knew something was missing from the LOP report of this match! What's not to like…they mention the martial arts thing, which makes me into a puddle of goo to start with…and then they follow it up with this: apparently it just only made him more angry!…um…*THUD*… that's BS (Bolin Services) for you - cheat, confuse, corrupt, and disrupt!…how true that is! *giggle* But the part that nearly LITERALLY killed me… Meanwhile, O'Haire has forgotten about his opponent until Flair rolls him up - exposing his black thong and all - for the pinfall win!!! um…*dies*…Ok…well, how am I supposed to concentrate on the rest of the coverage with that picture in my head? Well…I came to enough for this: Conway and Dinsmore at one point just LEVEL O'Haire with a big, joint punch…that's it…I'm dead again…Rob Conway…*swoon* From Lords of Pain David Flair vs. Sean O'Haire w/ Kenny Bolin This being Sean O'Haire's first match as the official
head of security for Bolin Services as the crowd
totally hated him. Flair made a very calm way to the
ring. He wasn't to charismatic today, honestly.
O'Haire opened up the match delivering big punches to
the face of Flair. O'Haire put the exclamation point
on his offense, delivering a huge standing back breaker
using his shoulder to Flair. The match came to an end
as Bolin interfered in the ring with Flair until
Jerome Croney and Mr. Black, former Bolin Services
members made a run in. Black immediately attacked
Bolin, recieving a tremendous pop from the crowd as
Croney hit O'Haire in the back with the Bolin Services
case. Unfortunately for Croney it was not hard enough
as O'Haire simply turned around and threw Croney out of
the ring. David Flair then came from behind with the
schoolboy rollup and gained the victory over O'Haire.
After his victory was no celebration though at Prototype
ran in attacking Flair putting him in the Figure Four
Leg Lock, as the rest of Bolin Services force Croney
and Black out of the ring. Eventually Nick Dinsmore
and Rob Conway made their way in for the save as the
cameras went off the air, concluding another great
week of Ohio Valley Wrestling. Winner via pinfall David Flair ~Ugh…there's something about this that bothers me…but I can't quite put my finger on it. However…I'm sure this is all preparation for the match at Six Flags. Unfortunately for Croney it was not hard enough as O'Haire simply turned around and threw Croney out of the ring. David Flair then came from behind with the schoolboy rollup and gained the victory over O'Haire. It is funny…Jim Cornette does call it a "schoolboy"…but when you see these two HUGE guys do it…well, it sounds funny. 3/10/02 From OVWrestling.com This huge breaking announcement was made at last night's OVW TV taping in the midst of one our greatest programs to date! "THE NATURE BOY" and WWF co-owner himself will make his way to Louisville, KY to team with his son David, who personally requested his legendary father as a partner to take on Bolin Services' Prototype and Sean O'Haire on Friday night, April 5th, at Six Flags / Kentucky Kingdom! We are thrilled and honored to welcome this great, beloved icon to OVW! Folks, you CANNOT miss this HUGE event! For the first time since their coming to the WWF last year, it'll be Ric and David Flair in the ring together! What was the reaction of the OVW Champion Prototype to this news? Find out when we post the complete and OFFICIAL tv results right here this weekend - otherwise, STAY TUNED! WHOOOO!!! ~OH MY GOD!!!!!!!! I think this is the best news I've heard in a long time! How COOL is that!? I hope they will offer a tape of this! 3/9/02 From OVWrestling.com Sean O'Haire w/Kenny "The King" Bolin vs. Mr. Black REF: Robert Brisko
Special Stipulation: The winner becomes the definitive Head of Security for Bolin Services; the loser becomes the winner's lackey! The special stipulation merely give Black a chance to get his old position back - if he loses, things stay the same - i.e., O'Haire remains BS Security Chief and Black stays his flunky! Before the match we see an earlier-taped segment where Bolin Services' CEO Kenny Bolin is admonishing both men to swear on "Bolin's Honor" to "keep it clean"! "WHAT!??", exclaims Jim Cornette (not at Steve Austin) - flabbergasted as such an oxymoron of "Bolin's Honor - like 'government intelligence'!" They start with a collar & elbow tie-up - O'Haire shoves Black off the ropes, but on the recoil, Black slams O'Haire with a clothesline so huge it flips him backwards - and that's no small feat on a monster like O'Haire!! Of course Black's no lightweight by any means, and has the strength and experience edge, but O'Haire is also strong, fearless and determined! So much so he even tries twice to (belly-to-belly) suplex the massive Black but Black just easily does it to him instead! Back up, O'Haire's back on offense with hard stomps and fists in the corner, then he stands on the ropes to deliver blows to the head. Black misses a big splash in the corner, and the martial arts expert O'Haire further capitalizes with a nice standing side kick to Black's head as just part of a relentless offense! But after missing a big elbow drop off 2nd rope, Black is back and, feeling the momentum change in his favor, delivers a BIG powerslam / bodyslam for a 2-count! Bolin hollers, "keep it clean!" Suddenly BS accountant Jerome Crony comes out and leaps onto the ring apron with Black's telescoping baton, waving it trying to get his friend's attention - but Bolin abruptly takes it from him, as if to scold him for trying to cheat. Then as ref Dumeyer comes to chase Crony from the apron, Bolin takes the baton and slides it to O'Haire!! With the ref still distracted, O'Haire just DECKS Black with it and sticks it in the back of his tights! Black's out for the count of 3 as O'Haire wins via pinfall!! Damn, the BS boys can't even refrain from cheating while fighting amongst themselves! After the match, O'Haire ditches the baton and Bolin waddles into the ring to congratulate him, announcing the that since O'Haire won "fair and square" (the blatantly false), Black must now agree to be O'Haire's flunky to remain in Bolin Services (the blatantly obvious)! But the long-suffering Mr. Black, the first-ever and to date most loyal member of Bolin Services, has had enough: says if the only way he can remain in BS is to be O'Haire's flunky, "I QUIT!!" - and with that shoves Bolin on his fat @\\$$ to add the exclamation point, and the crowd loves it!! O'Haire immediately comes to Bolin's aid by attacking Black, and soon it's a two-on-one assault on the former BS Head of Security! Meanwhile, the hapless Jerome Crony is at a loss over seeing his company fall apart! He finally sides with Black, however, by doing something no one could've imagined, and that's PUNCH Bolin down! In the heat of the moment, he also slugs O'Haire as hard as he can... but unlike Bolin, THIS big man is in shape and just absorbs the punch like it was nothing! O'Haire then tosses Crony nearly 10 feet in the air, and down he lands, face first!! Back up, Bolin adds more insult as O'Haire adds more injury before they finally leave the ring, congratulating themselves as Black and Crony lay wasted! ~Ok…give me a moment to pick myself up off the floor here. This woman really has a way of writing these things…you have to give her credit for that! I swear…these results sound NOTHING like the LOP results! I've just giggled myself silly! They did not make it clear in the LOP results that Bolin Services had split over this! If you go to the OVW Website, you can see a banner they made advertising this. Ok…here are the lines from these results that made me squeal:
Well…looks like I'll have to buy another OVW tape! From Lords of Pain Sean O'Haire vs. Mr. Black w/ Kenny Bolin All three came out together as this match was to decide the Official Head of Security for Bolin Services was. The match started out pretty back and forth but Black gained the upperhand after O'Haire missed a big backsplash. The crowd was all over Kenny Bolin, with chants of "Porky" echoing throughout the arena. The match came to an end as Jerome Croney ran to the ring apron with a baton in hand. The referee stopped him from throwing the baton in the ring, but Kenny Bolin then went on to steal the baton from Croney without the ref knowing and throwing it in to O'Haire who cleaned the clock of Mr. Black with it. O'Haire then pinned Black and picked up the three count. After the match Bolin went on to announce that O'Haire was the new Bolin Services Head of Security. Mr. Black then got on the mic and announced that he quit as the Head of Security and recieved a favorable reaction from the Davis Arena crowd. Croney attempted to attack O'Haire but was literally manhandled by O'Haire. Winner via pinfall Sean O'Haire ~Ok…I'm confused because I thought Sean already WAS the head of security for Bolin Services! Gah! Oh well…The baton…and the "cheating" again…*giggle* But…I swear to God…it's things like Croney attempted to attack O'Haire but was literally manhandled by O'Haire.…Oh my! They really try to kill me off …huh? 3/2/02 From OVWrestling.com Dark Match: Mark Jindrak vs. Sean O'Haire REF: Nick Dumeyer (Note: We haven't been reporting dark matches on the tv shows in awhile, but with the interest the fans have expressed in these two men, well, it just couldn't be resisted. --Webmistress) THIS oughta be interesting; many fans are aware of the history between these two former WCW superstars! O'Haire takes the first advantage with hard punches, then gets Jindrak into a corner, who soon avoids a big hit. Nice, fast moves for such big men! O'Haire goes outside to take a breather - or is he leaving already? No - here he comes, finally getting back in the ring, and he's mad - he always LOOKS mad, too!! They go into a collar & elbow tie-up, and O'Haire's back with the advantage again. Jindrak rolls his body across the mat to get out of O'Haire's clutches, and it pays off for him with a pinfall, but just a 2-count. Pretty well-balanced match; give the edge slightly to O'Haire but not by much - he has a slightly more intimidating presence. Both deliver a flurry of hard-hitting offense, yet at times these two big guys move like cruiserweights! Jindrak again tries wearing down O'Haire's arm, but he again powers out with hard fists in the corner. He telegraphs a backdrop but manages to slam Jindrak down anyway, and into another 2-count fall! O'Haire keeps the pressure on with more fists and boots in the corner, trying feverishly to get Jindrak worn down - in frustration he just throws him across himself for the devastating shoulder breaker that should put most men away - but no! O'Haire stays dominant for most of the rest of the match, getting more frustrated with Jindrak's resiliency! Just when Jindrak seems down for good, he comes back! Finally the aggression wears down O'Haire as well and it's not looking good for him, either - Jindrak catches him in a quick schoolboy rollup for the 3-count pinfall win and O'Haire is simply (and understandably) LIVID!! ~ No - here he comes, finally getting back in the ring, and he's mad - he always LOOKS mad, too!! Funny, I've noticed that too. It's difficult to find a picture of Sean smiling. Of course, can't say as I blame him lately…but..um…*shiver* Pretty well-balanced match; give the edge slightly to O'Haire but not by much - he has a slightly more intimidating presence. No offense to Jindrak, but O'Haire has a GREATLY more intimidating presence, IMHO anyway. Jindrak catches him in a quick schoolboy rollup for the 3-count pinfall win and O'Haire is simply (and understandably) LIVID! Um…*blink* …k the words "schoolboy" and "O'Haire" in the same sentence was a bit of a mental overload there…I wish they'd just have said "small package" which still makes me giggle anyway…but I won't go there. KUDOS to you OVW for reporting on this dark match…oh…and please don't make these two a dark match next time. I might shell out more money for a tape knowing I could see them tie each other up! From Lords of Pain -Mark Jindrak vs. Sean O'Haire DARK MATCH Believe it or not, this was actually a good in ring wrestling match, and I must say it was the best match that I've seen from these two since their arrival at OVW. O'Haire dominated most of the match starting with many arm holds on Jindrak towards the beginning. Throughout the entire match the two traded very big power moves but two counts kept prevailing. Jindrak even kicked out at the count of two to O'Haires finishing manuever. Jindrak pulled off a very nice Lionsault towards the end of the match, but missed. The match came to an end as Jindrak pulled off the small package out of nowhere and picked up the quick three count and the win. -Winner via pinfall Mark Jindrak ~It's cool that this was an impressive match, and it's too bad it was a dark match because that means it won't be on TV. And Jindrak kicking out of the Seanton Bomb? Wow…that's amazing! Must've thrown poor Sean for a loop…he may have even wanted to kill Mark after…*snicker*
2/23/02 From OVWrestling.com "Mr. Wrestling" Nick Dinsmore & "The Ironman" Rob Conway vs. Sean O'Haire & Mr. Black REF: Donna Derring Black & Conway start; Black seems tentative - but it'll be strength vs. skill - and Conway takes Black to school! Black doesn't back down once they hook up, though! Early on, Jim Cornette states that by O'Haire's request, his BS comrade Jerome Crony has been barred from ringside!! Black gets an advantage with a headlock and then loses it by missing an elbow drop. Conway gets an arm-wringer and tags in Dinsmore who keeps up the same until Black downs him with a big fist! Back 'n forth momentum - then the Lords of the Ring, the fan favorites, double-team Black, and it's Conway w/ 2-count pin that O'Haire breaks up! Then O'Haire takes over on Conway with hard, punishing blows in the corner! The HUGE former WCW Tag Champion intimidates referee Derring - or tries to - then a big push-off from the corner takes O'Haire down and Conway makes another pin attempt! Conway re-takes the advantage and keeps it up with a fast, varied offense until Bolin Services' dirty tricks bring him down and the BS boys double-team him in the corner, keeping him isolated. A nice swinging neckbreaker type move gets him some offense but he's soon down again and O'Haire gets a pin attempt. O'Haire slows the pace down with a sleeper but Conway powers out. O'Haire misses with a nice spin kick but hits a superkick then plants him! The isolation of Conway continues and Black continues the hard-hitting punishment!! Back 'n forth tags - the BS guys are surprisingly working well as a tag team here!! At last though, a big DDT catches Conway a break; Dinsmore wants in so bad, and the ! crowd's firmly in his favor! Finally Dinsmore's in like wildfire - first Black then O'Haire with huge drop kicks and a superkick puts Black down but O'Haire breaks it up the pinfall! It starts breaking down and Black inadvertently runs into O'Haire HARD!! O'Haire gets disgusted and simply leaves Black to his fate! It's now academic - Conway does the honors with the pinfall and it's another great win for the Lords of the Ring!! ~Well, once again they don't disappoint with the descriptions of how HUGE O'Haire is! I will, however, look forward to the day that O'Haire starts winning again. Maybe they could give him some singles matches? Suddenly David Flair himself comes into ring, apparently loaded for bear (or for Prototype in this case) as he's wearing his wrestling gear! Flair then gets on the mic, asking Prototype for a little respect since he's only guy who ever beat him in OVW singles' competition. Prototype replies that he's tried to show him "as little respect as possible", calling Flair a "one-hit wonder!" Flair then decides to SHOW Prototype why he should command some respect - and he opens up on BS, causing Cornette to bail out of the ring! Then the crowd goes WILD as Flair puts Prototype in a FIGURE 4 LEGLOCK, and he's screaming like a stuck pig until Crony breaks it up - then O'Haire comes out! Bolin assaults Flair with his briefcase - it's now a four-on-one assault on David Flair! Security can't stop BS - Jindrak tries to get in; no luck - Prototype just pummels Flair to a pulp! Finally Dinsmore and Conway come to the rescue!! They help Flair up with security's aid - and eventually the fan favorites leave the ring to cheers of support! ~Well, that didn't really clear it up, in fact it's even more confusing now! However, it doesn't look like O'Haire carried Flair out of the ring after all…and Jindrak was involved too? Be still my beating heart! From Lords of Pain -Nick Dinsmore & Rob Conway vs. Sean O'Haire & Mr. Black A good match with Rob Conway and Mr. Black squaring off the action. Black took the offense towards the start with a big shoulder block to Conway followed by an elbow drop in the center of the ring. Sean O'Haire sick of seeing Black dominate the in ring work, tagged himself in and started beating on the downed Conway. Eventually after a series of great reversals Conway came back and regained the offense after a very nice hurricanrana on the big man, followed by a nice DDT. There was then a hot tag made allowing Dinsmore to lay it in to his opponents and gain some offense of his own in the match. Dinsmore went for his German suplex, but O'Haire stopped the move from taking place. Dinsmore's attention then veered in the direction of O'Haire, allowing Black to go for a cheap shot from behind. Unfortunately, for Black, the ring wise veteran moved out of the way and Black layed it into O'Haire in the corner. Nick Dinsmore and Rob Conway then did a series of double team moves to Mr. Black and gained the pinfall and the win. -Winners via pinfall Nick Dinsmore & Rob Conway ~Ok…this guy is getting in on the "O'Haire is huge" fun I guess…It's too bad that O'Haire and Black fight amongst themselves so much, but alas, that is part of the magic I guess. Then, toward the end, there was this snippet (part of the aftermath of Prototype becoming the new OVW champ) Prototype went on to say that no one could beat him, but Cornette went on to remind him that David Flair pinned him cleanly last week on TV, in one of the biggest upsets ever. Prototype explained that it was a fluke and that Flair got lucky. Flair then made his way to the ring and told Prototype that he should respect him because he's the only person to defeat him. Prototype then told Flair that he was a "One hit wonder like MC Hammer or Vanilla Ice" and had no respect for him. Flair then replied in that maybe he was a "one hit" wonder and delivered one hard hit to every member of Bolin Services. Eventually Sean O'Haire came back to the ring and took him out allowing Bolin Services to jump the downed Flair. All sorts of OVW Trainees then came out and tried to save, but were cleared of Bolin Services. Eventually Rob Conway and Nick Dinsmore came to the ring with the save clearing the ring of Bolin Services, helping Flair to his feet as the cameras went off the air. ~Ok, excuse me for "being so dumb I can't remember my name" *snicker*…but I can't quite figure out what went on here. Who did Sean take out of the ring? David? Hmm…I guess I'll have to wait until next week to read the OVW report. Until then, I'll have images of Sean carrying David Flair over his shoulder in a Fireman's Carry... 2/16/02 From OVWrestling.com Jim Cornette Interviews Bolin Services: Bolin Services' CEO Kenny "The King" Bolin announces there'll be punishment for both Mr. Black and Jerome Crony for "making us look bad" in recent earlier matches, particularly Black's non-Title matchup with Leviathan (of which some video footage is shown before this segment). Bolin says now Black must carry O'Haire's bags to and from matches; Crony must carry Prototype's. The two new "lackey" protest but to no avail. ~*snicker* I hope they plan to show footage of that…Black carrying O'Haire's bags… Sean O'Haire & Mr. Black w/Jerome Crony vs. Shelton Benjamin & Redd Dogg The crowd barks its approval of the Benjamin-Redd Dogg team - but how will Black & O'Haire manage to be a cohesive team, given the bad blood between them and the most recent humiliating "discipline" forced onto Black by Bolin? Dogg & Black start; it's speed and cunning experience vs. girth here. After a collar & elbow tie-up, Black focuses on his REAL opponent (O'Haire) and, after some arguing, reluctantly tags him in. It's not hard to see where this one's likely going... Dogg basically out-wrestles the larger O'Haire, but the big man shows NO fear and at one point uses his size advantage to stand firm while Dogg simply bounces off him! But Dogg loses no momentum and tags in Benjamin. The fan favorites double hip-toss O'Haire then double backdrop Black before it returns to one-on-one action. O'Haire takes the advantage with his size and punishing blows, but Black tags in and the gain is quickly lost, leveled by a great spin kick by Benjamin into a near-fall. Dogg tags in, keeping the pressure on Black while Crony is up distracting the ref and Benjamin, then holds Dogg against the ropes! O'Haire flies in with a MEAN clothesline, then snaps Dogg down hard with a shoulder back-breaker into a 2-count pinfall. O'Haire's intensity is impressive; the way he attacks the opposition makes one forget it's his own teammate Black that he hates! O'Haire continues his punishing offense until Dogg gets a break with a belly-to-belly suplex and tags in Benjamin, who lights up the ring with a frantic assault on both O'Haire and Black! Soon the match breaks down with all four men in the ring, and Crony goes up top to nail Benjamin - but he hits O'Haire instead! After dispatching Crony with a lightning-fast kick, Benjamin gets the 3-count pinfall on O'Haire! Afterwards, a livid O'Hare stares daggers into Crony and gives chase, forcing Crony to flee from the ring for his very life! ~ Dogg basically out-wrestles the larger O'Haire Oh my…again with the size thing…*drool* but the big man shows NO fear and at one point uses his size advantage to stand firm while Dogg simply bounces off him! *blink* Bounces off him…ok…wait a minute for me to recover from that image….bouncing off O'Haire…can I be next? O'Haire takes the advantage with his size and punishing blows Someone on the staff of OVW obviously wants to kill me here! O'Haire's intensity is impressive Well DUH! Hello? They're just realizing that now? Intensity = Sean O'Haire! a livid O'Hare…Oh please God…let me see these matches some day… The ironic part is that I used to live in Kentucky…I guess I wish I was still there now! From Lords of Pain Next was an interview segment in the ring with Jim Cornette joined by Bolin Services. I couldn't hear much of the segment due to the intense crowd heat toward Bolin Services, but caught a lot of it. Bolin started talking of how great a replacement that O'Haire was as the head of Security compared to Mr. Black. He then went on to talk about Jerome Croney's status in Bolin Services as well. The promo came off by Bolin basically saying that Black and Jerome Croney are worthless members of Bolin Services. Next Cornette announced that Prototype was the No. 1 contender to the OVW Heavyweight title and will take on Leviathan next week on TV. Prototype then got on the mic saying that he would prove just how impressive he is in his match against David Flair later in the night. He went on to quote Flair on his "Be the man...." line and concluded that for him to be the man he would "....beat the man's son!!" (FYI: Flair won the match in a stunning upset!) Shelton Benjamin & Redd Dogg vs. Mr. Black & Sean O'Haire w/ Jerome Croney The match started with Redd Dogg and Mr. Black going at it in the ring to open things off. Eventually after Black managed to pull off some good offense Sean O'Haire was tagged in, but taken down by Dogg. The team of Benjamin and Redd Dogg eventually gaining the complete upperhand and delivered a huge double back body drop to the massive Black. Benjamin later went on to hit a top rope front flip shoulder block which was extremely impressive as well as a nice reversal reminiscent of an insegurie, but spinned the opposite direction delivering a big kick to the back of his opponents head. Benjamin's agility is very impressive in the ring. Jerome Croney attempted to save his team by going top rope and going for a splash onto Benjamin. Unfortunately, for him he missed and landed right on top of Sean O'Haire. Shelton then covered O'Haire and gained the three count. After the match O'Haire chased Croney to the back enraged of the happenings. -Winners via pinfall Shelton Benjamin & Redd Dogg ~Ok…First of all…ya gotta love the crowd giving Bolin Services heat! How cool is that? Poor Sean though, enraged at Crony…Man…I have got to get tapes of these matches! 2/09/02 From Lords of Pain After the intermission were four dark matches. The results are as follows: -Leviathan pinned Sean O'Haire ~NUTS! But wait...isn't Leviathan the OVW Champ? Cool! Sean got to fight him! I can't wait to see if the OVW site has more information about the match. But darn...guess he's not undefeated anymore. ~NUTS again! OVWrestling.com did not provide written coverage of the dark matches! Ugh! 2/02/02 No Sean this week... >:-( 1/26/02 From OVWrestling.com David Flair vs. Sean O'Haire w/Jerome Crony The men start off exchanging standard chain wrestling moves - both have improved their wrestling skills a lot since coming to OVW. The announcers, meanwhile, have been joined at their desk by EX-Bolin Services Security Chief Mr. Black, who's been in an ongoing feud with O'Haire (now his boss!) since being demoted in place of O'Haire by Kenny Bolin. Black says he wants to face OVW Champion LEVIATHAN (!) in a non-Title match just to prove his worth to Prototype as the "most important member of Bolin Services." Says he doesn't "give a damn about the Title" - he just basically wants to make Leviathan "easy pickin's" for Prototype, and then maybe "Kenny Bolin will realize the mistake he made and fire that dumb-ass Sean O'Haire!"
In the ring, Flair & O'Haire have a brief stare-down, then go into a collar-and-elbow tie-up with the bigger O'Haire forcing Flair into the corner. Flair punches his way out and is reversed into the opposite corner, but avoids OH's charge and turns it into a sunset flip off the 2nd rope! He puts as much pressure as he can on OH's legs to keep him pinned for a 3-count, but the 280 lb.-er is just too strong and easily kicks out (O'Haire is deceptively huge - is much bigger than he may seem on television). Back up, the two go into another collar-and-elbow tie-up, then O'Haire takes the advantage with a punishing blow. He then misses with what was a NICE-looking leaping spin kick but he catches Flair on his recoil off the ropes and puts him on his shoulders to plant him hard, into a 2-count pinfall. O'Haire now apparently senses he's gained the upper hand and sets a slower, more deliberate pace - at one point he downs Flair with a powerful clothesline but doesn't pin him (could this overconfidence backfire on him later?). For several minutes, O'Haire continues his assault in this manner, but Flair keeps coming back and kicking out when O'Haire DOES try pinning him! Cornette expresses sympathy for the position David Flair is in, given who his famous father is and especially with Ric's 2002 WWF Royal Rumble victory over Vince McMahon. David's heart and tenacity, however, are not in question here at OVW or in the WWF. Of David, Cornette says: "He got no respect from people in the past who were running WCW, the Bischoffs and the Russos - the boils on the asses of wrestling."
After several minutes of being dominated, Flair finally tries a cross-body block after being Irish-whipped into the corner, but O'Haire just catches him in mid-air, slamming him to the mat! O'Haire signals as if to say "He's finished!", and LEAPS up onto the top turnbuckle (amazing agility, this big man has!) for a NICE Swanton-bomb type move (which would give problems to guys HALF his size), but the good hang time he gets allows Flair to avoid it!! Flair gets up, perhaps with a second wind, and blocks OH's fists while giving some of his own! On a reversal, Flair hits a drop kick to the gut, then another, then FIGURE 4 LEGLOCK! "WHOOO!", goes the excited crowd! The big, strong O'Haire scoots over to and reaches the ropes - Flair doesn't let up right away but when he does, he lands a DDT - then HE goes up top for a moonsault that misses! O'Haire immediately puts him in a fireman's carry, and spins him down hard! (like a "TKO" only by the legs). O'Haire wins via the 3-count pinfall! Flair's still looking for his first OVW win by pinfall or submission; O'Haire remains unbeaten thus far in OVW. ~ Oh my, that dumb-ass Sean O'Haire…man what I wouldn't give to see these matches. I giggle just thinking about it. Ok wait a minute… O'Haire is deceptively huge - is much bigger than he may seem on television… pardon me while I pass out for a minute…*THUD* Now this, He (Flair) got no respect from people in the past who were running WCW, the Bischoffs and the Russos - the boils on the asses of wrestling.…you know what I think? I don't think either one of them got the respect they deserved. "Boils on the asses of wrestling" …that sounds about right. Oh no, more slash…After several minutes of being dominated…dominate him Sean…*shiver* Oh no…LEAPS up onto the top turnbuckle (amazing agility, this big man has!) for a NICE Swanton-bomb type move (which would give problems to guys HALF his size), but the good hang time he gets allows Flair to avoid it!! Isn't this what I've always said? Isn't that what makes O'Haire so impressive? For the love of GOD though…can't they get it right? Jeff Hardy calls it a "Swanton"…but the move, to my limited knowledge, is called a senton bomb, and O'Haire's twist on it is to call it the "Seanton" bomb. You'd think that the official OVW website would get it right, wouldn't you? The big, strong O'Haire…stop already, you're KILLING me! O'Haire remains unbeaten thus far in OVW…hmm…I suppose they're referring to this year only? Well…way to go Sean…another win! From Lords of Pain David Flair vs. Sean O'Haire w/ Jerome Croney The match started out somewhat technical with O'Haire pulling off thego behind take down. Considering the two are both relatively new in the business they put on a good match. Flair pulled off an impressive second rope sunset flip early on in the match to O'Haire but only managed to get a two count out of it. Sean worked on Flair in the corner for a lot of the match until David gained somewhat of a rebound only to be let down by being caught in mid air attempting to deliver a cross body block. O'Haire then slammed him and went for his "Sean-ton" Bomb but missed allowing Flair to get back to his feet and deliver two dropkicks followed by his Figure (Woooo) Four, which was eventually broken up when O'Haire made it to the ropes. Flair then went for a very awkward looking moonsault which he missed and was pinned after O'Haire pulled off an impressive "DVD into a DDT" maneuver Winner via pinfall Sean O'Haire ~Cool…he won! And mention of the Seanton Bomb just makes me woozy…even if he missed it!
1/19/02 No Sean this week... >:-( 1/12/02 From OVWrestling.com Video footage is shown from last week's Southern Tag Team Title match, where Bolin Services essentially cost themselves the Titles against Ch. Dinsmore & Conway, thanks to the heated feud between Mr. Black and Sean O'Haire! As the interview begins, "Porky!" chants from the crowd nearly drown out Kenny Bolin, who puts on a glad face and assures Cornette that "everything's just fine" in BS, that Black and O'Haire have each made concessions, etc. But O'Haire (NEW BS Security Chief) and Black (OLD BS Security Chief) still obviously hate each other as they explicitly describe what they'll do to the other if he gets in his way! Their verbal assaults threaten to get physical until Prototype steps in. Seeing himself on a no-fail quest for the OVW Title, with his upcoming non-Title match against Ch. Leviathan as his first step, the "perfect man" says he'll need both Black and O'Haire to watch his back when he becomes the OVW Champion - so (apparently for that reason alone) they must stick together. Then to "rid " Bolin Services of some problems, the self-appointed "Dr. Prototype" rags on O'Haire for what he says are lack of brains - his "prescription" is to follow his (Prototype's) ways to become the "next perfect man" - then rags on Black for his obesity - "2 words: Weight Watchers" is his basic "prescription" for Black! ~Ok…for some reason, this sounds like slash to me! Telling each other what they will do "explicitly"…I would have liked to have seen that. From Lords of Pain After the commercial break Jim Cornette had an in ring interview with Bolin Services. Kenny Bolin got on the microphone and proclaimed to the crowd that there were no problems with Mr. Black and Sean O'Haire and that they are on good terms. O'Haire then got on the mic after Bolin's statement and said that if Black screwed up again he'll kick his ass. Black was obviously offended and exchanged some words with O'Haire as well. Eventually Prototype jumped in and broke up the two from fighting and told them that they should both settle down and just do their job. Prototype was hilarious on the mic, reprimanding the two calling O'Haire "I'm so Dumb I can't remember my own name" but telling him with time he'll be the next "Perfect man" just like himself. He then went on to call Mr. Black "I'm so fat, when I lay around the house I literally lay around the house." but proceeding with trying to boost Black's confidence. I'm sure we're soon to see sparks fly between Black and O'Haire. ~"I'm so dumb I can't remember my name"…that cracks me up because I can't picture O'Haire being that dumb! I would have LOVED to see the expression on his face for that one! Oh..and news-flash Prototype...Sean already IS perfect! 1/5/02 From OVWrestling.com In their first title defense, Nick Dinsmore and Rob Conway put the Southern Tag Team Titles on the line against Bolin Services' team of Mr. Black and Sean O'Haire. This is a good solid match with lots of back and forth action from both sides. Conway and Dinsmore take the early lead as they show exceptional teamwork. However, the tide soon turns as O'Haire and Black resort to Bolin Services' best tool... cheating. O'Haire and Black resort to doubleteaming and referee distraction to get the upper hand, but Team OVW gets the lead again especially when Conway looks to finish off Black with his patented neck breaker. Bolin, on the sidelines, wants to ensure a victory and slips O'Haire a telescoping nightstick typically used by Mr. Black. O'Haire gets ready to put Conway's lights out, but just as he swings, Mr. Black grabs his arm saying that the nightstick belongs to him and that he (O'Haire) can't use it. While O'Haire and Black argue amongst themselves, Dinsmore distracts O'Haire which allows Conway to get his neck breaker on Black to secure a 1-2-3 victory. Dinsmore and Conway retain their belts and remain the Southern Tag Team Champions. Winners via pinfall: Dinsmore and Conway. ~This is one of the reasons why I like pro-wrestling so much. Sounds like it was a classic match. Cheaters never prosper…yet without cheating it would be boring to watch! From Lords of Pain The match got right underway with Prototype in the commentators booth. The match started with Nick Dinsmore and O'Haire trading it off in the ring. Once Conway was tagged in the two pulled off a huge back body drop to the massive Mr. Black. Once O'Haire got back into the ring, he regained the offense for his team and delivered a huge back breaker using his shoulder to Dinsmore. Following his move he went to the top rope but missed his Swanton bomb crashing down to the ring. The match came to an end as Dinsmore and Croney were caught up in the corner distracting the ref and Bolin threw in a weapon from his BS case and O'Haire went for the swing but was stopped by Mr. Black, who apparently wanted all the credit. In the midst of the confusion, Conway ended up ducking Blacks swing and pulled off a reverse neckbreaker for the pinfall and the win. ~GASP!!! A Freudian slip…calling O'Haire's maneuver a "Swanton" instead of a "Seanton"…*blink*
